Last updated: May 11, 2026
ScoreTheFloor ("we", "our", "us") provides a live competition scoring platform for event organizers, judges, and audiences. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and authentication identifiers (including Google sign-in identifiers when used).
- Event content you create: events, participants, judges you invite, scores, and related notes.
- Audience voting: anonymous votes submitted via QR code. We do not collect names or accounts from audience voters.
- Technical data: device type, app version, IP address, and crash diagnostics used to keep the service reliable.
2. How we use your data
- To create and operate your account and your events.
- To deliver scores, leaderboards, and live displays.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- To communicate important account or service updates.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. Sharing
We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the app (database, authentication, and hosting providers operating under data-processing agreements). Event content you create is visible to the judges and event admins you invite.
4. Data retention & deletion
We keep your account and event data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated event data at any time via our account deletion page or by emailing us. Anonymous audience votes are retained with the event they belong to.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel.
6. Children
ScoreTheFloor is intended for users 13 and older. Minors may appear as participants in an event under the responsibility of the event organizer; we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by contacting us. Depending on your region (e.g. EEA, UK, California), you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
